Mobilenations - die smartphone-community

Hier koennten wir neue Bugs sammeln, die es in Bada 2.0 zu sehen gibt. Also neue Bugs in alten Funktionen und neue Bugs in neuen Funktionen.

Ziel ist wieder ne schoene UEBERSICHT ueber alles, wass die meisten von uns stoert. Das ganze zusammen mit der Liste uebriger Bugs aus der 1.x (siehe separater Thread) waere klasse, vor allem, wenn wir Samung's Bada Team auf die Threads lenken koennten.

Bitte postet jeweils

--> Welche Version und Handy (S85xx...KG5 oder KG6)
--> ggf. zu welcher bisherigen Version ihr vergleicht (1.0 oder 1.2)
--> samfirmware ROM oder custom ROM
--> Debug Level Low oder nicht

wenn nichts dabeisteht, gehen wir von KG6 auf S8530, samfirmware ROM und debug low aus.

List of new Bada 2.0 Bugs

(if not noted, it's reported from KG6, debug low, original samfirmware)

Bada Crashes

• Attempt to connect Wifi with WPA2 Enterprise and Authentification method EAP-TLS causes reboot
• When attempting to sign in into mobile Youtube causes reboot
  --> Fixed in KG7/KH1
• Dolfin: Onlinebanking in commerzbanking.de - when going to account summary phone reboots (S8500)
• VPN Connections per PPTP cause Reboots
• When changing several camera settings (megapixels, auto-contrast etc.) then exiting menu to shoot the picture, phone reboots.

Basics

• No Sound Profiles found anymore. That's a major Bug for a Phone!!
• Sound Signal "Battery fully charged" does not ring when system sounds are off. Only text notification appears. Fix: Sound signal behaviour should be bound to sound profile (like "Silent"), not to system sound setting. (KH1)
• Glitch in Clock functionality: Daylight Saving Time not considered in all Clock Widgets. "Autoupdate clock from network" also doesn't help (KG6 and later)
• Entering GPS "My Position" and exit it, setting menue looses some entries in the list: names and switches. Only icons left. Issue only rarely, hard to reproduce(S8500)

Call Functionality and Contacts

• When calling somebody, in some cases audio (speaker and mic) don't work (S8500)
• When typing a telephone number in Keypad, or when choosing Keypad>Contacts>Contact Name>1 of number list, the hardware call button does not work. Only Softkey "call" on Touchscreen works. (S8500, KH1)

Messages and Text

Text Editor:

• "T9" sometimes deactivates unwillingly when typing in special characters/funny characters (after accessing special characters button). (KH1)
• With deactivated T9 we have a multifunctional "." button (long press to access the popular symbols) - fine. But with activated T9, "." only provides a ".", no selection provided - that's a bug. (KH1)
• No multifunctional SPACE button anymore. Double Tap for "." not possible anymore. Long press to access special characters not possible anymore. (KH1)
• Keyboard vanishes sometimes during writing (KH3)

Navigation/GPS

• Route66: "finding addresses" is difficult, cause app asks for "narrowing search" all the time (KH1)
• GPS deactivates when applying "screen lock". That's very bad when an app currently records GPS tracks, like app "GPSLogger". Proved by screenshots of an recorded track on Wave II (KH1)

Other

• Symbols on top of the screen are hidden from each other if too many symbols appear. Example: new GPS symbol will be overridden by "new msg" symbol. In this situation, symbols could be alternatly showed, like every 2 seconds the hidden ones come to front and vice versa.
• No Password Field in Samsung Account ... login for Apps-store not possible. Need to remove SIM, boot, insert SIM, boot, go through startup wizard, then works fine again. (KH2)
• Menu "Settings>General(?)>Storage=MemCard" changes itself back to Telephone after some hours (KH3)

• Booten mit eingestöpselten Kopfhörer verursacht Bootschleife
• Verbindungsversuch mit WPA2 Enterprise WLAN und Authmethode EAP-TLS verursacht Reboots
• Reboot, beim Versuch mobile Youtube zu laden

Youtube geht ... bei mir ohne Reboot

Youtube stürzt bei mir ab, wenn ich mich dort anmelden will. Wenn ich unangemeldet Videos schaue, geht es ohne Probleme ...

Genau das meinte ich. War nicht präzise genug. Youtube Reboot beim Sign In.

Ja, danke. Liste ist angefangen. Bitte noch die wichtigsten Randbedingungen posten, siehe auch erster Post.

Ich schau auch mal ueber andere Threads und sammle glasklare Bugs, wo ich sie sehe. Aber ich kann oft nur ein paar Minuten pro Tag. Ihr koennt es ruhig genauso machen hier. Soll ja ein Sammelthread sein

huch, verstehe nur Bahnhof, aber ich trags spaeter ein. VPN sagt mir grob was, war von einigen Leuten als Neuerung begruesst worden. Danke, Don_P

PPTP (Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol) ist einfach nur ein Protokoll, um sich mit einem VPN (Virtual Private Network) zu verbinden.
