0. Prolog

RemoteCam is based on the open source project SmartCam, which unfortunately wasn't further developed. RemoteCam modified this code for the waves 1/2/3 and Bada 2.0.
The source code of RemoteCam will also be published as open source. So everyone is invited to check out the code and modify it to get a good app that fulfilles all our requirements.

1. Description

RemoteCam allows you to use the Wave as remote camera. Example for usage are e.g. as webcam for your PC or as spycam in another room or building.
Therefor the app communites with a client software via WLAN or Bluetooth. There a virtual webcam is provided. This virtual webcam cann be used in other programs like Skype and so on.

3. Download and Manual

• at first, download the client program smartcam and start it
  SmartCam_v1_4.zip
• Now go to FILE - SETTINGS and choose TCP/IP (WiFi) and remember the PORT
• Click OK and leave the program opened
• Now, you need the IP of your pc. E.g. in Windows go to START - type CMD <ENTER> and type IPCONFIG /ALL - remember the IP address
• now to the app
• Connect to your WiFi network on the Wave
• start the app and go to SETTINGS
• for the first test, use the MAIN CAMERA
• Also use the smallest Resolution and the lowest Frame Rate (you can increase it later if everything is working)
• at SERVER ADDRESS type in your pc IP
• check the PORT, that has to be the same like you specified on your pc.
• hit OK and go to the menu - CONNECT

If you got problems:
- ensure that your pc and your Samsung Wave are connected to the same network
- try to deactivate the PC firewall
- maybe try to take a look into the router settings (firewall, ports)

4. Enhancements and source code

- Bluetooth
The Bluetooth code is already integrated. But there are some problems left and it isn't stabliized now. Hopefully it is ready when the App is released. Otherwise an update is planned to integrate this functionality.

- Microphone
Another Enhancement would be the usage of the telephone microphone to get a fully qualified webcam.

how do i get the app? and how do i put it on my phone? I thought i could download it from here and copy it via usb....thanx in case somebody answers
